Plainville, CT – January 26, 2026 — IT Health Partners today announced its commitment to Data Privacy Week 2026 by registering as a Champion. As a Champion, IT Health Partners recognizes and supports the principle that all organizations share the responsibility of being conscientious stewards of personal information.
Data Privacy Week is an annual expanded effort from Data Privacy Day, taking place from January 26–30, 2026. The goal of Data Privacy Week is to raise awareness about online privacy among individuals and organizations. The initiative is twofold: to help individuals understand that they have the power to manage their personal data, and to help organizations understand why respecting user data is critical to trust, security, and long-term success.
IT Health Partners’ Commitment to Data Privacy
“As an IT partner trusted by healthcare providers and small to mid-sized businesses, we see firsthand how data privacy directly impacts patient trust, business reputation, and operational resilience,” said Christopher Phillips, Marketing & Communications at IT Health Partners. “Becoming a Data Privacy Week Champion reflects our ongoing commitment to helping organizations safeguard sensitive information, stay compliant, and make informed decisions about how data is collected, stored, and protected.”
Through this commitment, IT Health Partners will continue educating organizations on best practices for data privacy, including secure data handling, access controls, risk assessments, and proactive cybersecurity strategies that reduce exposure and strengthen confidence.
TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR DATA
All your online activity generates a trail of data. Websites, apps, and services collect information about your behaviors, interests, and purchases. Sometimes, this includes highly sensitive personal data, such as Social Security or driver’s license numbers. It can also include data about your physical well-being—such as health metrics tracked by wearable devices.
While it’s true that you cannot control how every piece of data about you is shared or processed, you are not powerless. In many cases, you can take simple steps to manage how your data is collected and used. Your data is valuable, and you deserve to be selective about who you share it with.
Data Privacy Week encourages individuals and organizations alike to make informed decisions, review privacy settings, and adopt responsible data practices.
